Note: Not entirely sure about this. Agatha seems to have had a Close son in tow in 1872. He was born at Mallerstang and died in Burnley in the same year that she married John Markham. It's possible that he was John's son, but given the strange name it's equally possible that he belongs to someone else. For the time being we're assuming a different father.
