Uncle Sam

Henry Joseph Close (1884) was born in New Haven, Connecticut, America, the son of George Brown Close and Sarah Kettendorf. He spent most of his life as a shipyard electrician in Quincy, Massachusetts.

In 1942 he was drafted into the US Armed Forces at Quincy, Massachusetts but by this time had TB of the lungs and confined to his home.
